People are still salty as hell that Fat Andy let them down.

Canelo fans loved it when he ran away from GGG in the first fight. They called it masterful boxing. AJ did the same thing in the second Ruiz fight and you guys gave him ****. At least AJ won his fight legitimately. Unlike Canelo who needed assistance from the judges and pharmacist. .

It's the way he did it. By not training and showing up for the fight not in condition.

It's disrespectful to the people who plopped down their hard earned money to watch him fight and to the sport of boxing itself.

I'd put it up there with some of the stunts pulled by Julio Chavez Jr.

I have a feeling Ruiz will be out of the ring for a year or two, possibly longer. A lazy tub of lard like himself just got handed $14 million for a single fight -- one he self-admittedly spent less than 50 hours in the gym preparing for.

His next purse will be in the area of 200-300k. Before manager, trainers and sparring partner costs. He's so dumb and lazy he will find excuses that it's not worth his precious time.

I'm amazed that people believed in him to begin with. It was only ever going to go this way.

I'll admit I had the guy wrong. I did not count on a total lack of discipline.

I don't think he would do much better even if he trained. He caught lightning in a bottle against an overrated and complacent champion.

Maybe. But he sure didn't help his odds by coming in not in shape.

If Ruiz came in in fighting shape and was able to more effectively press the action he would not be the pariah he is now.

He took the money and ran. A disgrace.

Pressing the action isn't what he's good at. He's a one dimensional counter puncher who had no idea what to do when the other guy didn't look to trade.

All I'll say is Joshua retooled and came into the second fight with a better plan. He obviously trained his butt off to be able move stick and move for twelve rounds. Full props to him.

Ruiz came in without having trained much according to himself and his team.

We did not see Ruiz at the best he could be. That is to the disgrace of Andy Ruiz.

Fat Andy not only let his fans and his trainer Manny Robles (who is a scholar and a gent) down he let the good people of Mexico and the great tradition of Mexican boxing down and I for one will never forgive him for that nor ever let him live it down.

Canelo fan here didn’t like the way he fought in the 1st fight. Cost him the W in my opinion.

AJ did what he had to do.
But to compare his performance to Canelo’s vs GGG 1 would be inaccurate.

I can rewatch canelo vs GGG 1
I almost didn’t make it through AJ vs Ruiz 2
Like drinking a 4oz cup of lean.

Lol at the sad sacks who hate themselves and can't give other people credit where its due.

Credit to Ruiz in the first fight and credit to AJ in the second
