OK let us look at this more closely then. A small point-Ruiz is widely considered shorter than 6' 2", & many feel he is 6' max. Being so wide & fighting taller men he may look shorter than he is. But given routine exaggeration + the shoes he wears, he is almost certainly under 6' 2" & may well be 6' tops. Many people lie even to themselves about height, tipping up their chin &/or measuring in footwear... Now the important stuff. You did not give enough info for anyone-& maybe even you-to know if you are correct. We have no idea what your weight was, & if you have similar muscle mass or bone structure to Ruiz. Or what you define as overweight. Or if that is a valid supposition... How about this: there is not much variation in what is considered overweight. Absent concessions for age, for an adult male it is almost always between 15-20%. Let us use the lower #, because as an athlete there is no reason to be a bit more forgiving. And any lower would be getting towards lean-though 15% is lean indeed compared to the average American. Now even if you had the same fat as Ruiz, he at least is more muscular than an average fat man. So he could carry a few more lbs. at the same body fat %. But IF you were 20 KG overweight-I am more familiar with lbs., that is 44 lbs-that was a lot. Unless you had a very large amount of lean body mass (having a great amount of muscle & waaaay stronger than average...) You would likely look roughly like Ruiz at 20 kg overweight. Here is how I do the math. Ruiz weighed 268 for the first fight with AJ. IF he was what you say, just over 88 lbs.(!) overweight....That would mean that to be not all all overweight, he should have been just shy of 180 lbs.! So at 15% BF you would subtract 27 lbs...That would mean he would have a Lean Body Mass of 153. What he would weigh with 0 body fat. Well over 40% BF. I do not think he could have then been *that* fat. Google photos of guys with various levels of body fat. Ruiz looks near 35% max.-& carrying more muscle he could look a little fatter if his body is bigger... Mainly, at his height this would mean he has virtually the same LBM for his height as an average man-less if he is really 6' 2". NOT at all plausible. Because that would mean that under all that fat, he has average strength & muscle mass...Not average for a serious or typical gym, but average man of any age walking around the street! If he was "only" 30 kg overweight, then he would weigh ~ 202 lbs. I think he is a bit less than that-believing that his LBM is ~ 177. So if true IF he was 15% BF, that means he would weigh ~ 208. Do you really think that at 208, a full 60 lbs. less than what he fought at-he would still be at all overweight? That he would need to be around 175 to not be not ultra lean-but just not at all overweight?! Put another way, IF he was what you say, just over 88 lbs. overweight... And we use 15% BF as the measuring stick... Ruiz at a normal BF level for a non HW would be maybe 8% BF? That would mean he could fight at Super Middle Weight-WITHOUT any de & rehydration! With the normal for decades day before weigh in, where guys routinely lose & regain 10%-sometimes more... That means that he could EASILY fight at 154, Light Middleweight. And if he pushed it as far as some, Welterweight at 147 would be a distinct possibility. These are the heaviest weight classes that max 5' 8" Mayweather ever fought at. So with his height he would have to actually be carrying significantly less muscle per inch than Floyd. Nah, Ruiz is not THAT fat. If I am correct, then if he was LEAN at 8% BF, he would be ~ 193...And could lose ~ 10% & rehydrate to make the LHW limit. A quite large difference there. Ruiz would be very weak for a HW if he had as little muscle (maybe bird bones too, but if anything his are larger than average) as you having him nearly 90 lbs. overweight would necessitate! Does that not make more sense?
If Ruiz destroys Joshua again watch for them to Ban Snickers Bars soon after Hearn protests and petitions against the consumption of Snickers Bars!
Bruh... All that analysis is not needed. You just need to look at Ruiz’s chubby checker belly and pudgy ***** tits to see that he is well over a healthy body weight. That’s all.
After watching the live workouts I think Ruiz may have gotten Fatter and Joshua looks thinner! We shall see at the weigh-in!
Hope Ruiz is Fatter and stops AJ quicker, it'll give the AJ FanBoy ArmChair Athletes fits on Psycho-Analysing what took place for months dreaming up excuses for AJ!!
Ruiz believes that the fatter he is the better he performs and because of that he keeps eating snickers bars all day. Don't try this at home!
I cannot see any reason Ruiz would intentionally come into the fight any lighter or heavier than he was in last fight If it is not broken why change it? It is for Joshua to make the changes not Ruiz.
The fatter the blob becomes, the more food he gobbles up in his belly. Including weakling bodybuilders.
Sometimes I am "Rain Man" with making a very detailed argument & trying to get some to address specific details logically. One post here was just just a Theater of the Absurd, for Pure Fun.
