    Interesting.
Is Garcia truly done with the talking? Is he finally stepping up vs one of the guys he has called out?

This somewhat exciting. (Too bad Spence is going to merc him)

"Garcia, who still holds the WBC lightweight belt, is likely headed to a welterweight fight with titlist Errol Spence Jr. instead of another lightweight defense."
    from that same source.

    1. Richard Commey
    2. NOT RATED
    3. Isa Chaniev
    4. Edis Tatli
    5. Masayoshi Nakatani
    6. Robert Easter Jr
    7. Rances Barthelemy
    8. Roman Andreev
    9. Kazuhiro Nishitani
    10. Emiliano Marsili

Commey vs Chaniev would be absolutely atrocious. Tatli is mediocre as well.
None of those are enticing matchups.

    Will it actually happen?
If so I expect Spence to stop Garcia, and we get another Commy wearing a belt

And this also means that a fight between Lomachenko and Garcia might never happen at all, wow...

I hope Spence knocks Garcia out cold. :dunno:smile:

They might as well just e-mail the title to Loma and save everyone the time and energy.

In a way its quite good as it opens up the LW division a bit more & Loma can gun for another belt maybe... Cos Garcia wasn't gunna fight him. I wouldn't mind Loma v Easter or Commey but I'd still prefer him back at 130...

LW is literally there for the taking now almost with Linares & Garcia gone!!

Luke Campbell vs whoever for the belt then I'm guessing.

This makes the welterweight division epic. Well, on paper that is. Unfortunately Al Haymon will have other ideas. Spence moves up to light-middle to avoid Garcia and Crawford (Yes, you heard that right, I have a feeling spence doesn't want a piece of Mikey and especially Terence), Thurman is inactive for another century, Porter fights a bum for his defense and Crawford is prevented from fighting PBC fighters and is stuck fighting bums on Top Rank shows. Broner is hyped up further despite beating nobody in his career. That is the reality of what is going to happen to the welterweight division.

Don't worry though Al, you waste these guys time. Their reigns will be over by Yeleussinov within 2 years.

I want to see Spence vs Garcia, I really do. But someone is getting an injury, or Spence will vacate and move up.
