Horrible show. Cheerleading at is finest. He completely talked down the maidana and Mayweather, but only because it is showtime. Just like the op, I felt cheated of 30 minutes of my life. I literally felt like a dumbass for sitting through it

It seems like the only on-air personalities that are keeping it 100 over at HBO is Jones and Ward.

Max Kellerman is the worst, pretty much always has been. His very simple minded analysis's of fighters is so annoying.

I think Lampley is overrating GGG. He is great for boxing but like Kovalev, everybody is scared to fight him right now.

all i see is a bunch of so called know it alls, judging a man thats very successful, thats been involved in sports for the past 40 years, who clearly has what it takes to make it in this world, more so than most of you keyboard warriors.

do you know the ins and outs of creating a tv program? theres script writers, dead lines, financial interests, list goes on. just keep sitting there posting your opinions, day in, day out, see how far it gets you.

im not a child either, i run a million dollar business, and i too, get judged by people who have no clue, which is why, when i see this behavior, it pisses me off.

What did he say about Maidana?:bbb

Maidana is a guy who has worked hard, go ahead talk about the Khan (140) fight, at developing his boxing skills and now looks bigger and better than ever at 147:good

Now will he beat Floyd....Heck no:-( but the guy is a real boxer and will die on his sword

I make it just fine in life, and I have my own expertise and education. Thanks. I could care less about Jim's success. The fact I have to listen to this man comment while I watch boxing is the only reason I care. I actually have to listen to this idiot ramble like he knows anything during a boxing match, and try to pass those 'opinions' off as some kind of certifiable fact.

What does creating a TV program have to do with Jim Lampley's knowledge about boxing? Nothing.

For somebody who runs a million dollar business, you would think you wouldn't take the opinion of a "TV Personality" as somebody who actually knows something. Jim Lampley's opinion, is just that, an opinion. And many people feel his opinions are absolute horse ****. I agree with these people.

If you want to think Jim's opinion is the "know all, be all" of boxing because he's been on TV, that's your choice. Just not a very smart one.... For people with a brain, we'll think for ourselves and don't need somebody on TV to form our opinions for us. Thanks.

Same goes for Larry Merchant. Couldn't be happier that rambling drunk is off the TV during a boxing match.

no one is suggesting he doesn't know television. he clearly knows nothing about boxing. obviously, neither do you, otherwise you wouldn't be defending his bull****. as someone who has spent a good portion of my life as a student and teacher of the sweet science, i can state with absolute confidence that i know and understand way more than lampley will ever know about boxing. the fact that he is aligned with a network that allows him to spew his bull**** and dupe the public into believing that he knows what he's talking about is just a reflection on how little the powers that be at the network know about the sport they cover.

their empire is crumbling and they will be irrelevant very soon. showtime has been better for quite some time.

    Hey bro is you hiring?:think:D

    I was kidding:lol:

Look all we are saying, as I agree that Jim is always pushing an in house agenda, is that the guy is not the Bible when it comes to boxing. He loves to slip his over inflated opinion into facts and an educated boxing fan catches that crap quickly.

I still watch and it's like the news as you must take the facts and attempt to mute the opinions:good
