So now that all is said and done....there will be some bruised egos and some inflated ones....some casual fans and hangers on will crawl back into their holes, chastising the fight for, "Not living up to expectations." But for a moment....just before the first bell sounded...I wanted that feeling to last forever. The hype, the tension, the buzz...and all eyes on boxing. I want to relive that over and over again...and what ever you think about the fight or the outcome, the journey of these two men and the ride they've taken us on will seldom be emulated. Don't feel bad if your man lost, he sure won't be feeling bad when he gets his paycheck through. A lot of people have been made rich and the already rich have been made even richer...and now I'm left with a feeling reminiscent of the day after Christmas when you're a child. I for one have enjoyed the attention that boxing has gotten thanks to these two ATGs and I hope to see something of this magnitude in the sport again someday. Peace.
