I remember that before the Donald Curry vs Lloyd Honeyghan fight, boxing experts and the media were talking about Curry moving up to fight Marvelous Marvin Hagler. But Donald appeared distracted during the bout, that was broadcast live by Showtime that evening. Not taking anything away from Honeyghan, it was a terrific win for him, he fought a great fight, deserving the win.

Like I have mentioned before on several occasions, I bet $ 20. 00 on the George Foreman vs Joe Frazier title bout on Jan22 1973, I bet on George. My chum at school the next day, gave me my winnings. He asked why I went for Foreman, I told him I thought that Joe took a frightful beating from Muhammad Ali on March 8 1971, even though Frazier won fair and square. Joe's last two opponents were not dangerous challengers, Terry Daniels and Ron Stander. George looked too brutal and strong. I was in the 8th grade at the time. In my senior year, I bet on Jimmy Young in his fight against George Foreman on March 17 1977. I bet $ 10.00, I went to school the next day, collected my money. George had stamina issues, and Jimmy could not crack an egg, but Young had loads of stamina.
