The fight should be in Oakland, since there's tons of fans there and Ward is A-Side

I have an oak in my garden. I say they should fight under that.

 

Bollox to that. People get shot here in broad daylight, expecially around the stadium area. The Russian might literally not make it out alive.

 

Its odd but it does seem that unless I am missing announcements that lately I dont think Wards fights have been confirmed until late on.
Smith I think was around 2 months
Barrera I think was a bit less
Brand I think was also less than 2 months
They to my knowledge all seem very short notice
I have thought this with Wilder also but may have missed announcements

Maybe the Kovalev fight wont be confirmed until around 6/7 weeks before the fight for some reason?

 

Why Oakland? It's a massive fight.it deserves Vegas where all the biggest fights happen

 

Kovalev has 3/4 belts...so no Ward is not A side.

The fight should be held in whatever venue generates the most money.

That said, I don't really believe the choice of venue is the holdup. I think Rock Nation is having problems with the Pacquiao fight happening on 5 November. The Pacquiao PPV is gonna kill the Ward Kovalev PPV. I'd be VERY surprised to see both of these fights happen on PPV in November. My money is on Ward Kovalev in early 2017...

This is already starting to feel very familiar. When Ward was asked in the ring after that last joke of a fight if it was Kovalev next his answer was very dour. This fight isnt happening and its all down to Ward not wanting it.

There is no way Roc Nation wouldnt want this fight in Vegas, they are losing money on Ward every single time and really would want one of thier guys in a better place than the Oracle. This fight actually sells.

 

Didn't Kovalev's last fight in Vegas sell like 1,000 tickets only?

Oracle at least has the built in fan base that a bloodthirsty Vegas might not attract to a fight like this.

Ward is gonna blank Kovalev & peeps want to see a competitive fight.

Thats not the only reason i think this. Ive had doubts for a while now i was just showing an example

 

in the last year or so a few american fighters based on the west coast have said fighting on the east coast is not fair and that they want home advantage.

these fighters were talking about opponents who live on other continents with oceans and 8 to 10 hour time zone differences.

 

Most Americans are complete babies on that front.
