When I first started getting into boxing I watched Salvador Sanchez vs Wilfredo Gomez pretty early on in my boxing journey. I had heard about how exceptional Sanchez was and was vaguely aware of the rivalry between Mexico and Puerto Rico. Each fighter's respective mariachi bands having a battle of the bands before the fight really stuck with me. Also the vintage presentation and Bob Sheridan's commentary were really memorable. Then I was just totally flabbergasted by how good a fight it was and how skilful Salvador Sanchez was. The swollen eyes of Gomez and that ruthless finish along the ropes frequently cross my mind.

Hagler vs Hearns! I lost count of how many times I've watched it. One of those fights that never gets old!
