The fight was a poor mans (or rich mans) Robinson-Armstrong

A fight between two great fighters far along in their careers, with no historical value. Not only was May-Pac not the fight of this century (past 15 years),
It will not be remembered for anything more than a massive payday. Nobody talks about Robinson-Armstrong, and this was a fight between the two best ever. But it wasn't particularly relevent or even a standout fight in either guys records. We got scammed on Saturday. Boxing fans should be furious, but also somewhat ashamed that we bought into the hype. Again.

Robinson was 22 when he beat the 31 year Armstrong. Your premise is shaky.

Extremely shaky. Robinson said he carried Armstrong out of respect for him.
