thought that too. also thought Ortiz was looking for a way out. he threw some punches with bad intentions and missed mostly all and when he did land Floyd shook his head. If it was rigged why the **** would he try and knock Floyds teeth out with a headbutt?
Yeah and if they really wanted to rig it .. why not have Ortiz win oppose to Mayweather Floyd is the big favorite going into the fight and won easily as expected (though this fight did end bizarre) "The right hand he didn't see and took from Berto was harder." .. how do you know that? that sounds like a very conspiracy theorist thing to say and lets say Berto did land the harder punch, he was at least in the heat of an exchange while both guys were throwing .. Berto just got their first Mayweather caught Ortiz cold and unexpected, which is probably why he was hurt more by it. Ortiz wasn't expecting to get hit and had his gloves down. He also landed pretty hard with the back of his head hitting the mat.
I'm sure Ortiz and his team would take a rematch if given .. or maybe they'll realize that Victor was getting handled anyway and pass you've been watching too much wrestling. What about the lovable underdog story? Why didn't they go that route then? Ortiz easily lost a fight he was expected by many to lose anyway. You'll agree that going into this bout it was widely seen that Mayweather was going to win, and win easily. diff fight example but reminds me of my friend originally thinking Forrest Griffin vs Anderson Silva was fixed. Silva was a big favorite going in, and in the fight he completely wrecked Forrest Griffin. WTF if you were gonna fix something, why have the outcome play out exactly what the majority thought going in with the favorite winning easily and despite being hit unsuspected Victor doesn't save any face here. He looks like a mental midget who had to resort to fouling (blatant headbutt) despite the bizarre circumstances of the fights ending, what your wrestling analogy is forgetting is that good guys don't cheat .. and if Victor Ortiz is the good guy who got "cheated" then he wouldn't have thrown the headbutt in the first place. It's hard to feel for a guy "getting cheated" when he's the one who got the point deducted.
It was ****ing surreal, end of. I dont want to believe the fight was fixed but I am skeptical about how it all played out. It was controversial to say the least, and Ortiz, despite being the bad guy who headbutted Mayweather can sell future PPV's and act as though HE was cheated .... he may even get a controversial re-match which will net all parties involved millions more. HBO, GBP, Mayweather and Ortiz are all quids-in despite what was a debacle of a fight. I've never seen so many fans predict a Mayweather KO for a fight, and they were right too as Victor Ortiz was clueless, and as I described myself he is a poor mans Hatton.
If it seemed surreal, you might have been under the influence of narcotics. Did you eat any foods yesterday prepared by friends who may have wanted to pull a practical joke on you? :think Smoke any cigarettes hand-rolled for you by someone out of your sight? Seriously, you should pee in a cup and find out. TAKE THE TEST! :deal
What is the best way to sucker punch the PAYING BOXING FANs than to let them pay twice for the same ****? Legacy does not pay the bills, it is the SUCKER PUNCHED PAYING BOXING FANS.
I was suspicious of the strange ending. I think its always important to look critically at fights because so many are fixed. Most are not out and out fixed but pushed one way or another by poor officiating and corrupt judges. In retrospect I think the event ended strangely because Ortiz is just a strange guy. Golota strange. Multiple instances of quiting in tough fights strange. In the Maidana fight he quit in against a fighter he had scored three knockdowns against because things got tough and then smiled and talked about retiring afterwords. He was no less strange than as he was last night. Its quite likely He was looking for a way out and found one.
