I dunno, define close? Take emotion out of that fight and at no stage did Daniel Geale look in trouble and at least twice Mundine was badly rocked. In fact Geale was hitting Mundine at will. I was shocked by the scores cause i couldn't give him two rounds.

mundine admitted that geale hurt him 'a couple of times'.

Really? I thought Mundine rocked him a couple of times in the fight. Obviously Geale rocked Mundine a lot more but each rd was competetive to a degree.

When looking at a score line 120 - 108 people automatically think 1 guy has completely dominated.

That's why i'm surprised so many people scored it a 120-108

I guess we're getting into semantics. i agree there were a couple of stiff shots that Mundine landed but Geale usually followed up everytime with better shots. A fight can be 120-108 without a boxer being physically destroyed. To my way of thinking Geale controlled every round, some more dominantly than others.

Sure, mandy did clock Geale a few times, but he never looked even remotely fazed.
Geale clocked Mandy a lot more, and Mandy looked very uncomfortable many times.
    Probably because he did.
Why? There's a couple rounds where you could be generous and give it to Mandy, but that's just it. Being generous...

Remove any generosity and we have a shut out. Total domination.
At no point did Mandy take control of that fight.
