I've put it on the Tv thread thing but just to let you know UKtvHistory are showing a re-run of "The Fight" It was on BBC2 a couple of years ago after top gear. 4 Parts I think and the 1st was on this morning at 6am. I had to be up and stumbled across it while having my cornflakes!! Excellent documentary going from the very start really of the boxing game, from John L Sullivan's 75 round, whiskey sodden, bare knuckled fests through to the present day tear ups and classics. Really good stuff and even if you missed the 1st one there's more, presumably at the same time each week, that are just as good.:bbb
Do you know if the first one will be repeated mate? Threw it away again Saturday didn't we! Need to book our ideas up else were gonna bottle it! The only reason were still top is Reading and Blues keep dropping points too. Need a centre back.
Oh yeah I remember this. They showed them first in the autumn of 2004. Culminates in Ali-Frazier, with similarities to the recent documentary on E4 about the Thrilla in Manilla.
Ive been looking for this all over the internet for ****ing ages but was unable to find it. It's a great Documentary thanks SeasideSlugger
It's all on this week mate according to their site. UKTV stuff seems to be on a massive loop so no doubt it'll be on again. There might be more info on the site but my work computer is running slower than whale **** so it wont access the site properly. Keep an eye on it, it'll be round again, I've lost count of the amount of times i've watched Only fools and horses and stuff about Hitler's Bunker shenanigans.! At the end I was happy with a point!! Those conditions were a joke. Should still have taken all 3 though. Collins gives his all but is prone to severe balls ups, though He was fouled for their equaliser. Couldn't give a **** about the cup Saturday, the Match occupying all my thoughts is Reading, Tuesday..........
I have them all on tape, and still watch them regularly. The one on Ali-Frazier is amazing. Plus, the music at the start of the programme is very good as well; gets you all gee'd up for what is to come.
