Youtube is not the place for these kinds of examinations. The video quality isn't good enough to reveal the sometimes subtle reactions a fighter may have, in order for us to properly gauge how much they may have been hurt. The fighters also do a helluva job of disguising being hurt for obvious reasons - whenever possible.

Was Manny Pacquiao hurt by David Diaz, and how badly, by this left hand to the body with 29 seconds remaining in the 5th round? If you have the fight, watch closely, tell us what you think. Here is what's on youtube (9:45 in) for those who do not have this one on download or DVD:

Was Winky Wright hurt by Paul Williams, and how badly, by this series of punches with 1:58 seconds remaining in the 2nd round (6:46 in)? Again, watch this one on DL or DVD if you have it, tell us what you see.

    Virtually
nobody, anyway... What if any examples of this do you have for us? When was a fighter hurt - and we didn't hear about it from the commentary team when it happened, or our fellow boxing enthusiasts afterward?

thats a big punch that lands well but Pac didn't seem to be hurt by it or if he was he didn't let it affect him.

That punch that Diaz landed looked like it did some damage..hope Pac dont fold up when Hatton hit him with one of them shots!

Winky just looked he was shocked that Paul had just hit him with 7 shots in 3 sec.:admin

Cotto against Sosa..it was brief but it was a clean shot on the chin and I think just as telling as the temple shot he took from Corley which is a kind of shot that can hurt anyone.

Roll it back. Have a look at Winky's body with 1:54 remaing in the round on the HBO clock. As Williams finishes that combination, Williams wings another left that grazes Winky's face and you can see Winky step and start to lean/fall to his right and catch himself, with a blood-rushed 'rocked' disposition on his face. It's quite clear. He wasn't just hurt, he almost went down. If Williams had thrown a straight punch... Well...

Winky was stunned by Williams a few times, and it was pretty obvious.

I'll take your word with Diaz. Manny was DEFINITELY surprised by a right hook to the body that Oscar summoned out of nowhere midway through the massacre, and I think Marquez took more steam out of him than some think with his lead left hooks downstairs.

Hatton is still getting crushed though.

Pac. seemed to slow for a bit to catch his breath, I'd say that's the result of the nice body shot he took. He was back to normal after about 20-30 seconds.

    Nice one.

Hopkins had him doing the same dance all through the last three rounds of their first fight. Ex circa 2000 would have stopped him.
