To beat calzaghe you need ring intelligence, a good jab, a good boxer

For some reason I feel like jermain Taylor would fair pretty well against calzaghe

My synopsis of last night was like watching a ghost in a shell roy never could establish any rhythym and feared a knockout the whole fight...

But Dawson might have a chance pavlik might have a slim chance cause of his strong jab .. But lack of boxing skills would hurt him ... For some reason I think jermain Taylor could fight a real good fight against calz

    God no.

The simple truth is that nobody at 168 or 175 would beat Calzaghe.

To be honest... Kessler is probably the second best out of all of them.

Mikkel Kessler is clearly the correct answer.

Dawson takes too much time off to decision Joe and wouldn't be Knocking him out.

Dawson looks great but it's in short bursts not enough really and then we don't know how good he will be with someone like JC relentless in his face all night.

After all he went life and death with Glen johnson and I for one believe he almost lost that fight.

None of this generation can beat him, a prime hopkins RJJ toney eubank benn mclellan watson etc are a very different matter.

pavlik would not be able to get his jab off and will get roughed up on the inside or beaten to the punch all night. JC is a master win angles and the fight would lead the same path as the BHOP fight but with more shots landing on pavlik and him looking a mess by the end of the fight.

dawson has the speed and power but i do not think he has the boxing brain to beat JC yet i think JC's jab is alot better than the GD jab and GD has no defence so would be getting hit by the flurries all night when they come and i think JC would fight the same way he did against kessler by staying at range and using the jab and not giving CD the time to get his hands moving.
