IMO Kessler is the hardest fight out there, but it wont happen. Either Dawson or retirement.

I think he should take Dawson aswell.
He should shut the hysterical haters up for good.

Taylor is a better boxer, so yeah...I agree...but he doesn't have much of a chance at all...

...there's no one out there, right now...

Yep, no lose situation, if he wins(which he would) he's apparently going to get some respect, and if he lost, well he's 37 fighting a 26 year old and was supposed too, and in time Dawsons win over a past prime Joe would be looked at with as much warmth as Joe's over Eubank. Happy Days.

He is going to do one more fight in the UK to get to 50 and really call it quits .... He owes it to his fans....

But for some reason I think jt could do it ... You have to be slick and clever to beat calzaghe... Jermain can do slick and clever

It is Kessler. And he would still have to perform better than previously and show greater versatility, and maybe Calzaghe would need to slip a bit and lack focus for Kessler to reverse things. But I think its possible.

Where you've got this idea you need a good jab I don't know. Jabs have never worked against Calzaghe, ever. Kessler has one of the best jabs around and it was taken away completely. It's better if you have a good lead right hand.

taylor?? to me he really need to refind himself before even thinking about it. lets see after the lacy fight what he can do even in super middle weights right now he has a lost at that weight against pavlik when he was post to be best fitted over 160. lets see if can retreive one of the super middle weights title. but for cal i dont see him retiring and if tarver would of beating chad thats probally the fight he would of went for next. if he doesnt retire i will like to see who he choses next and where. twice in america. or will he give one last final show at home.

I realise that. We are just talking hypothetically.

I don't really see why Calzaghe would need to fight on now nevermind rematches. He has probably made over 20 million GBP and there are no fights that would enhance him significantly.

Taylor would look ok for about 6 rds then would tire rapidly,he doesn't have anywhere near the conditioning needed to fight Calzaghe for 12

SEVERAL people (pundits & pros) had Bernard Hopkins even with or 1 point ahead of Calzaghe in their fight. I had Calzaghe up one point in a close fight. I think Hopkins still poses a threat and is slick enough and smart enough to maybe figure out Joe the next time around.

As for Jermain Taylor, I like him and I'd love to see him KTFO Calzaghe but I think JC would be a disaster for JT. Styles make fights and I could see Taylor getting slapped silly while he tries to get off his own flurries.

Don't know if Dawson's got the stuff but I'd love to see him try, that one would be exciting!

I thought he was at 49

But I just think if you could solve joes rhythym and let jabs go you have a chance ... I also think he is vulnerable to right upper cuts but I'm not boxing specialist

    Yes this is hypothetical

And he will fight once more in front of his home ... Just to go out on the best foot he possibly can any fight he takes now is icing on the cake

And no doubt jermain doesn't deserve a chance but I do think he may have the skills to put together a very solid showing against calz
