    Pretty good scrap. One nobody seems to remember because neither guy won the championship. Two good fighters.

    Bonus...you get a up close audio of what it was like to be in ear shot of Bundini Brown.

    Great post. I haven’t seen this fight for quite a while. Marvis was a very good fighter that unfortunately was plagued with injuries and inactivity throughout his career, but like his father always came to fight and never gave a dull performance even when he lost. Marvis also put on a good performance against Bonecrusher Smith.

    Also, I remember how loud Bundini was and how intense he was. Bundini was an underrated trainer and did the best he could to motivate Tillis, who was very talented, but just never seemed to have the ambition to match his talent.

    My favorite part is when Bundini says "HE SPIT ON YA!!! HIT HIM HARD!!

    Both good fighters, Tillis could have probably been a champ if not for his allergy to the fight diet. Marvis was a good fighter, but was probably better for cruiserweight. May have been lucky that Teo Stevenson didn't get to him for the 80 Olympics, though him and Broad had a good chance of beating him.
