I've seen tons of the wee mans fights, he's never taken a beating in any of the losses, he definately beat Dazzo and Mathews, but fair enough with Appleby, wasnt his usual self. Never seen him wobbled badly at all, tough wee man for sure, gets better with every fight. I remember seeing him spar Craig Docherty, when Craig was champ, and John more than handled him in sparring, really surprised me at the time, but not now.

Any news on Paul Appleby? Any chance of him popping up in Billy's stable?

see the thing is most boxers werent trained by there pro coaches when they were amateur, burns was at the barn, limond with the late and great john mc nair.burns stayed with is am coach and didnt properly adapt to the pro game thats why he moved to my gym, being around other pro's was the making of him as well the same applies to simpson.

I think Appleby stays in Kirkcaldy, or somewhere over the forth road bridge anyway, so distance may be a hinderance, is he still fighting with Stevie McGuire?

I am 100% behind this stable with my support, particularly like the look of Hughes. Top work all round. I'll be on the express, until John Simpson takes on Martin Lindsay, then it'll be time for me to get off!
