I would like to see...

Khan - Brook - think Khan would win by late stoppage.

Fury - Price - I think Pricey wins by KO in the middle rounds 5-8.

Burns - Broner - I think Ricky will win this on points.

Froch - Kessler - I think Froch would win this on points, quite wide too.

I'd like to see Tony Bellew fight for a world title before the end of 2013 too.

No, I have no personal issue with any fighter stepping up. I just don't see why people are pushing for a Donaire-Rigo fight when, by all accounts, Donaire has proved his superiority as a pro. Rigo needs to do something to make him a natural. Can you really tell me he's more deserving than Mares?

I think you get whats coming to you on merit, Rigo is a very talented individual, he's as much a deserving challenger as anyone in the division IMO, yes Mares has beaten better opposition, but Mares also got a gift against Agbeko first time out, Mares is riding the crest of a wave, he's growing, he's getting better, he is the man of the moment but that doesnt mean Rigo doesnt deserve a shot!

My beef with Donaire is that he's become Juanma's second coming under the wing of Uncle Bob's protection, and he's better than that, Juanma needed the protection, Donaire doesn't, make the fight already!

Arum is hardly protecting him, Nonito just faced and knocked out the real champion at 122 in Nishioka.

All Rigo has proved is that he's a highly skilled boxer against limited oppostion with a dodgy chin.

Nishioka is done! and anyone with any knowledge of that division knows that!

If Donaire has nothing to worry about with Rigo then make the fight! Omar Narvaez??? GTFOH :deal

 

Why do you keep putting that deal smiley like your talking facts?

Don't pretend like Nishioka was shot when Nonito sparked him, that proved only one thing, you have an agenda, prior to that was he not the champion at 122?

Donaire has already beaten better than Rigo. Darchinyan, Montiel and Nishioka were all significantly more proven and accomplished than anyone the Cuban has faced. I don't see how anyone could reasonably say Donaire's being protected.

What has Rigo done to merit a fight against one of the top two guys at his weight? Amateur record counts for nothing. What has he done as a pro?

Who cares whether you felt Mares got a gift against Agbeko first time out? He beat him clearly a few months later. He also has Yohnny Perez, Darchinyan and Moreno on his slate - all more proven than Rigo.

Let's be clear - Rigo does NOT deserve a shot yet. Let him fight Vic or Moreno in better fashion than Mares, then say he should get in.

 

That's the bottom line.

Rigo has done NOTHING of note as a pro. His fans are amongst the most deluded and irrational around at the moment.

 

For what it's worth I think Donaire sparks Rigo.

Guillermo is hesitant and negative against guys who are nowhere near world class operators, imagine what he'll be like against someone with such an accomplished offensive game like Nonito?

I think it's actually a comfortable victory for Donaire, he has close to all the advantages when weighing up this bout.

 

I agree - he looks fragile. Basically though, he might be a great counter-puncher, but so is Donaire. He can put a little bit of grit on his shots, but Donaire is a bona fide banger. He has fast hands, but Donaire is a LOT faster. His combination punching is great and nicely timed, but Nonito's is too and against a much higher level of opposition.

Add in height, weight, experience, and you have a tedious fight for six rounds until Donaire adjusts and smashes Rigo's overrated arse on to the canvas.
