    Floyd Patterson

    vs

Zora Folley- Obvious one highly rated talented boxer

Eddie Machen- Obvious one(though floyd later kicked this **** outta eddie in 64)

Nino Valdez- Damato didnt want to throw floyd in with a puncher who had 3" and 20lb on himm.

    Cleveland Williams- Same

Harold Johnson- This might suprise some, but Damato steered patterson away from johnson, even after Harold Johnson challenged him. might be a tough matchup for floyd.

How do all these matchups play out? Can Floyd beat all of these guys? If he fought them all in a row instead of the londons, harris, radamacher, and mcneeleys would he have been able to sweep through all of them or would the hectic schedule have broken him down? too bad we missed out on some of these great matches

    Williams knocks Floyd out early.

Floyd decisions all the remaining fighters (Folley, Machen, Valdez, Johnson).

Sounds fair. Williams surely can knock Floyd out early, but i think the reverse is equally probable. Satterfield stopped him in three rounds, i believe.

Folley - i think he'd get knocked out sooner or later, but is very competitive if not winning up to that point.

Valdes - A big man but he lost most of his big fights and i don't think a Patterson fight would've been any different in that regard.

Johnson i haven't seen much of, but based on his record you gotta give him a chance, although ultimately he is the underdog.

Yes but in fairness, this happened all the way back in 1954 when williams was not only a 20 year old teenager who hadnt fully matured yet, but he also took the fight on literally last second notice right from the stands.

they got stuff on him on youtube, i think you would really like this style chris. Apparently his 15 rounds to 0 shutout of doug jones was as close to masterclass boxing as you get(jones nearly beat ali shortly afterward)...I am going to order that fight

I am always amazed how Cus kept Floyd away from Folley,Machen, and Williams during Patterson's title years, and yet got Rademacher a title fight with Floyd.I think Williams woulda been the most dangerous for Floyd.Patterson takes Folley and Machen and maybe he takes Williams. But I figure if Rademacher knocks Floyd down,Williams knocks him dead.

Liston said Williams hit him the hardest.

If Williams puts on Patterson, what he did for 2 rounds against Liston, I don't see Floyd going very long.

I think Patterson could beat them all, but not without risk...Johnson may present a serious problem for him...Williams had a punchers chance but Floyd had fast hands and Williams was kO'D IN 3 RDS BY BOB SATTERFIELD who was 176 to Big Cats 201 and Satterfield pretty much owned 6"3 Nino Valdez and 6"2 212 Bob Baker but it was the smaller more skilled guys like Harold Johnson and Moore that handled those guys...Floyd was still championship material and despite a injured back gave Ali a decent fight...I remember a few people in the know thought he would have beaten Ali if not for the bad back...I did not think so but I was suprised that Floyd did as well as he did despite the injury

I actually think Floyd would beat all of them Williams sure had the power to stop him but I doubt Floyd would fight like him like he did Liston when he trying to prove something. The Johnson vs Floyd match is the most interesting.

Floyd might beat all of them under laboratory conditions but that dosnt mean that he beats them on the day if he fights them back to back.

Under ideal conditions for each fight, half a dozen heavyweights could match Joe Louis's title reign, but the logistics of actualy doing it in practice would defeat them.
