The FINAL TELEVISED Undercard for Floyd's fight

Very bad financial move for Alvarez if he takes this. He needs his own billing with the following he has from Mexico. His last purse was only $350K. They could easily setup a bout with undefeated Austin Trout to see what kind of PPV numbers he can brings in. A good venue against him would bring in $4-8 Million at the gate. Or a bigger name like Andre Berto or Serhiy Dzinziruk even though they are coming off loses. If Alvarez is getting more the $1 Million for this fight and a 3-5% share of the PPV then it's a good move because he should be able to do that without the undercard.

As for Morales, let him fight the winner of Alexander-Matthyese or perhaps he should fight Bredis Prescott if Golden Boy is thinking of matching him up against Amir Khan. Though Jesse Vargas out of the Mayweather Promotions stable beat Vivian Harris recently and that would be a nothing to lose fight for him.

Canelo is trying to reach a larger target audience, Mayweather fight will be watched by millions int he states, he wants to make a name for himself, a Mayweather under card will do it.

Been wondering about this one myself actually, I got Kotelnik by UD. The guy doesn't get enough credit, he's a good, tough fighter.

 

I thought I heard Canelo say that he didn't want to be on the undercard as it would be a step backward after creating such a following with his own headlined main events.

 

I heard Morales V Katsidis, would be a good fight imo. Katsidis really needs a decent win, if he loses another on the trott he's pretty much done, morales was brilliant in his last performance but lets not pretend hes back to his best. would be a good contest
