I watched the fight live with no sound and again this morning with no sound, and for the life of me i dont know how anyone could score any of the first 5 to Kessler, Froch literally boxed his head off and clearly won them all. Granted after this point Kessler won at 6 of the next 7 (I had it even) - but did no-one else think Froch was easily up after 5? Im not trying to cause arguments nor do i have any bias towards either, but for the fight to be scored more than 2 points to Kessler is utterly ridiculous. Im not bitching about the result because it was fair and could have gone either way, but I think two of the judges were Adalaide Byrd in disguise.
I think I had Froch winning the 1st, 3rd and 5th but losing rounds 6-9 through not throwing his right hand at all. But I was drunk so that could all be bollocjs.
Round 1 = Even I could make an argument for both fighters Round 2 and 3 = Clearly Kessler with a few Froch moments Round 4 = Kessler won again with his combinations and Froch only one punch at a time Round 5 = Froch here was getting warmed up and had his best round so far Anyway that is how I see it
My scorecard of the whole fight: Kessler Froch 1. 9 10 2. 10 9 3. 10 9 4. 9 10 5. 9 10 6. 10 9 7. 10 9 8. 10 9 9. 10 9 10. 9 10 11. 9 10 12.10 9 I am quite sure Froch won the first, we was more active and landed cleaner. Kessler definitely won the second and the third, but for me, 4 and 5 were clear Froch rounds.
Kessler looked bad in the first couple of rounds with some shining moments and some better endings than froch.. These endings 10 sec before the bell is important.. Old trick Kessler learned from Calzaghe.. That won kessler some of the first rounds imo.. But i defently thought Kessler would loose up untill he totaly changed in round 6 and looked beatyfully..! To bad Round 7 ended, or Froch would get his 1 KO defeat
Round 1 clearly Froch Round 2 3 4 I gave to Kessler although one of those rounds could have gone to Froch Round 5 Froch clearly
1st round was close, could give it either way. 2, 3 and 4 i gave to Kessler, 5 was clearly Froch's round. There's no way Froch won the fight, or even got a draw. Giving Froch the first 5 rounds is just plain silly.
To be honest Froch looked like he was breezing through Kessler, so much that he started dropping his hands standing there acting all mochismo. He let Kessler rest and Kess found a way to avoid the big right. Froch began looking for it again but couldn't gain back his momentum. Brilliant boxing by Kessler 2nd half! Man i gotta see this fight again
I had it 4-1 to Froch after 5 rounds (round 3 went to Kessler), and 7-5 overall. I didn't, but I gave him some close rounds because he seemed to be doing more damage, while Kessler never looked like he was hurting him for the first 6.
