I want to answer this with the prime boxer did not lose but it looked like he might.

Tillis was Tysons first step up, Tyson was still green and fighting an experienced journeyman whod been in with Biggs, Coetzee, Frazier, Witherspoon, Williams, Page, Thomas, Shavers and Weaver before facing Tyson.

The first time Tyson looked beatable was against Bruno in '89

Marciano was involved in a controversial 'win' over LaStarza before he met Walcott.

Chavez actually lost early on his career, but it was overturned the next day. And even excusing that, some felt LaPorte was unlucky to drop the decision to JC Superstar.

Nunn looked poor in the three fights before Toney (Barkley, Starling and Curry)...

Pat Cowdell had given the once beaten Sanchez real trouble, in a poor performance by the Mexican.

    Cool.

Not sure about the Maricano - LaStarza bout. I will need to watch that one and get back to you. I studied that LaPorte fight. It was a clear win to me. Chavez was a little less than impressive against a really tough guy but, the fight never looked to be out of his control.

Toney is the guy who I was focusing on as the unbeatable fighter. I have not seen the Cowdell fight either. If that exist I will also check that out and get back.

    Thanks for the feed back.

This is 100% how I felt when I read the original post you quoted.

As for more recent guys.. Canelo I knew would lose eventually because of his gas tank.. but Trout made him look bad.

Broner I thought seriously could have lost to Paulie, it exposed basically all of his flaws in one night. Has issues countering while punches are still coming, bad work rate, pot shotting without combinations, terrible footwork.

    That was my first thought.

The most notable might include Schmeling beating Louis.

Also, if you look closely, Sammy Scaff landed an upjab on Gay Mike at :45 of the 1st. This was just after Mike sheared off Scaff's top teeth and just before when he broke his orbital bone, but if you look really close Mike looks totally beatable there. Scaff wrote the blueprint for it.

Anyone who thought Floyd couldn't be taken is a clown. Floyd hadn't fought a motivated, peaking opponent in forever and fought stylistically suitable plodders that couldn't trouble him.

But that's what the media had every boxing dunce fan believing.

Now, didn't think Maidana could do what he did, but that also shows where Floyd's level really resides against someone not stylistically suitable in the Welterweight region.

P4P #1 only to jackasses with no analytical ability.
