I wanted to start this thread since the begining of the year. I think 2010 has been the greatest year in the UFC history and I want all of you to remeber everything that happened. So far we have seen... The most former UFC champion fighting on the same card (Rampage, Machida, Hughes, Penn) UFC 123 The most anticipated trilogy in the UFC History (Hughes VS Penn 3) UFC 123 The fastest knockout/tko between 2 former champion in the UFC (Hughes VS Penn 3) UFC 123 The most HYPED rivalry in the UFC history (Evans VS Rampage) UFC 114 The biggest fight in the UFC HW Division......x2 (Lesnar VS Carwin and Lesnar VS Cain)UFC116 UFC121 A bug in Joe Rogan face (Just before the main event I think) UFC 123 For now that's pretty much what I remeber, I'm gonna rewatch the UFC of this year and put more on the list !
lets not forget it was also the event with the most amount of biggest things that happened for the first time
I think we got like 4-5 "biggest fights in UFC history" this year. Not bad, they usually average 2-3 a year. The UFC is moving on up.
Saying that, I ****ing loved MMA this year. It's been the best year, for me. 3 of the 5 titles have changed; Penn, Fedor, Machida, Brock and Anderson Silva all got their asses handed to them this year, many of whom we thought untouchable. Brutal knockouts, killer submissions, some of the best fights of any year from mostly the UFC and WEC, lots of shocks, absolutely loved every second of it. But 112 was a low point, I was so depressed after that event. Totally avoided the Germany one too. 118 was also a crushing night. Dan Hardy ;-;. And tbh, I'm gonna list some of the best fighters of the year for me, don't give a ****. War Hardy, Leben, Sonnen, Rua, Carwin, Cain, Aldo, Faber, Sung, Edgar, Cro Cop and everyone else involved with some of the best **** of the year.
