The Floyd Mayweather Deception, Floyd Mayweather vs Jose Luis Castillo

I feel the same, even though I think the fight was a lot closer than the scorecards suggested, I feel Floyd had enough cushion in the early rounds to get the nod. The rematch (which is never mentioned when discussing these two) solidified the better fighter.

Yeah real close fight could have very well been a draw or POSSIBLY a Castillo win, Possibly. I responded to another poster in which I agreed that I think Floyd won at least the first 3 rounds if not 4 .. first 5 probaly not. The round in which he stood in the pocket for a majority of the round near the end of the fight is to me what ultimately won the decision. I likedd the way you slowed the tempo though. But actually I could see just as good in regular play as the slow play for the most part. Very good breakdown though.

So while a very very close fight, I dont feel it would have been a robbery if either fighter won or it was declared a draw. Also Castillo had a huge weight advantag and experience at the weight and Floyd was still his hardest match until that time (at least from a boxing standpoint not so much hardest war type fight).

And again the rematched removed any doubt as to was better. Good post though

 

I think all this slow motion stuff id irelevant its what you see on the actual night in real speed that counts.

i just recently scored this fight... dont remember my exact scorecard off the top of my head but i think i had mayweather winning 8 rounds... only a few rounds were close... not a robbery at all...the only other logical score i would accept due to close rounds would still be mayweather winning by 2 points at the LEAST.

 

Logic on Mayweather-Castillo:

Boxing fan: it could have gone either way and the second fight sealed it.

Mayweather Hater: Boo, Floyd bought the judges. It was fixed. He paid the judges off.

*******: Who's Castillo? Manny didn't fight him so he must be a bum.
