He's always in a lose/lose situation because that's where he puts himself. When did he last take on a challenge when it was there to be done?

Didn't fight Cotto, Margo, Williams etc when there was demand. Waited for someone else to beat them, and then says "see, there was no need for me to fight them"

Mayweather on the money there. He was old, and Floyd was supposed to beat him.

PLenty of threads before the fight about that too. Most after came in response to ridiculous posts about the greatness of Floyd because of that fight.

Facts are Mosley was 38 and hadn't fought in ****ing ages. Tough to dispute those.

    Think about what?

The fact that Floyd takes fights where he's the red hot favourite and wants things all his own way? Plenty of other guys have done the same, so he's no orphan there.

Floyd talks so much bigger than he walks. That's the problem. The other guys that have talked like Floyd, have pushed themselves to their absolute maximum - most have over reached, and that's why they lose.

Floyd has never taken that extra step IMO. Like all the guys he talks about being better than actually did.

You could make the exact same thread about Pacquiao.

I laugh at people like this. All sports have guys who hate athletes, Mayweather is no different.

    Dry your eyes.

Mayweather has a point... for guys he has beat he gets ridiculed but other fighters who end up beating them they get celebrated. No one celebrated the victory of Mayweather over Oscar, when he had every thing against him with Delahoya's demands... and Hoya had an belt, was ranked, and fighting at a weight class that he had been since 01. He has a point and suffers from a similar thing as Jones did, people don't appreciate what you are doing when you are arrogant, or put on that act. With a certain attitude people just want to see you lose and explain away your victories. They did it to themselves. In Jones case he was actually fighting directly for Legacy, just he was so egotistical. Now people value him a lot more then they did when he was doing amazing stuff. I think this will occur to Mayweather when all is said and done.

I disagree with Jones fighting for legacy - He was roundly criticised for a good portion of his Light Heavyweight career and it really wasn't until the Ruiz fight where people started to really talking about his legacy.

    Mayweather is a bit weird.

Take the Gatti fight for example, on one hand he spends the entire fight build up calling him a C+ fighter and a club fighter. Then he makes him look like one in the fight and then proceeds to cry like he just unified 140, took the lineal welterweight title and won an Oscar all at the same time.

Then after the fight, like most of Floyds fight, Gatti is no longer a club fighter, but a "helluva fighter".

In fact the Face to Face with Mosley was the first time I've heard Floyd say something like "You're not going to say you were too old after the fight".

I think Floyd is going to focus more on legacy now he realises he HAD the legacy and took the foot of the gas on his career a bit.
