    (sorry about the Lounge post)

The act of Frazier going airborne seemed a bit delayed.

I don't think he tried to sell it or anything, but that's always weighed on my mind.

    Thoughts?

    The Frazier of '71 would've won. ;)

Yes because at 29 he was well past it.Unlike the 29 year old Ali who fought him in FOTC, who was at his peak!

I was obviously being sarcastic. Just a style nightmare for even the best version, always would've been the case. He might've last a round longer at best. :yep

I actually think Sonny or Lennox could concievably be an even bigger headache for him.

Well he lasted nearly 5 rounds in the rematch and might have even drawn the 4th.

Foreman must have missed over half of the punches he threw in those two rounds but still got the job done.I think Liston would have been more accurate, and he wouldn't have been pushing Frazier back to get his distance his pole of jab would break Frazier up before he even got inside, imo.Lewis was less intense in many fights and it might go a few more rounds before a big right found its mark, but when it did it would be" yo yo" time again .Frazier met one super puncher, and was bounced like a ball,Stylistic hell for a great swarmer, is a deadly banger who is bigger and physically stronger. That must have been a real confidence booster for Frazier ,when he landed a couple of his left hooks Foreman ignored them.

I actually thought you were at first but because you don't seem overly keen on George and there's so much pole smoking on here that one can never be sure. :good

Everyone knows this is a bad match up for Frazier, but you brought up an interesting point that I made before.

Frazier did land some quality left hooks, and they did not seem to bother Foreman much. Sure, Big George had a good chin, but he could be floored, hurt, or buzzed.
Frazier did neither in both matches with Foreman, so I Frazier’s power is somewhat over rated.

He was a first class destroyer of course, I just think he gets overrated when discussing the Heavyweight greats. It might be because I'm far more a fan of fundamentally skilled fighters than sluggers, but that's just me.
