Yota Sato boxer who lives in Tokyo who won the world title WBC in Super Flyweight division in 2012.

Nobody even in Japan speak about him, so strange. Very underrated champ who have some good wins.

He beat the Thai champion to win the world title Suriyan Sor Rungvisai (Suriyan Kaikanha the big brother of Nawaphon) , the fight is almost impossible to find these days :

He made two very decent defenses against two good boxers. The first against the Filipino Sylvester Lopez :

After he lost the title in Thailand (Bangkok) against Srisaket Sor Rungvisai "Wisaksil Wangek" whom he began to shine :

Anyone remember of him or have more videos of this fights ?

 

What's more, Wangek made a name for herself and came out of obscurity by beating him.
Yota Sato didn't even ask for a rematch even though it was in the fight clause.

 

I'd put him (Yota Sato) somewhere near the level of Katsuya Onizuka, wouldn't you?
