Lost as in he was robbed in the Rio 2016 Olympics in the semifinals match vs. Yoka. Most felt Hrgovic won 2-1 in rounds, and you could see if it were a professional fight, Yoka would be in trouble down the line. So Yoka won gold, but it was tainted. Many felt he lost his first match to Nistor as well.

Joyce did beat Hrgovic when he was 20 years old, and Joyce about 27. This means nothing. No super heavy these days will be on top at age 20, as the game has changed. Asking a 20-year-old to beat skilled men ranging from 6'4" tall to 6'9" tall who are physically mature men, with more experience is asking for a lot.
The amateur scoring is a game of tag. However the world series of boxing has the pro like scoring, and Hrgovic dominated there.

Yoka should be able to coast for another year or two, but he just doesn't have good durability, and that problem will always be there. His match makers will need to be careful. Don't expect him to fight many with a " puncher's chance "

It's hard to tell what Dychko has. I think a lot, but he hasn't been remotely tested yet.

Joyce might flame out quickly. He's 32 years old now and needs to step it up soon. Future fights vs. name UK domestic opponents are there for him. Price, Chisora, Cornish, Sexton, those types. Joyce, however, can't afford a loss. The others can. The good think for Joyce is he's probably the best puncher of the four.

We'll see how their careers play out, I'm along for the ride.

Dychko did nothing but disappoint in big amateur tournaments so why anyone thinks the pros will be any different is beyond me. Ene could say the same for Hrgovic but he got robbed in the Olympics. Giving that Gold to Yoka was totally political just like in the prior Olympiad with Joshua.

I would agree with this. You guys act like 30's are a death sentence....you surely haven't followed or are not paying attention BC the best recent HW's have been late 30's.

Which IS the modern standard prime at HW.

Joyce has very little wear and tear as well.

    A little harsh, I think.

Some felt Dychko edged Joshua in the 2012 London games. The scores read 13-11 for Joshua. Dychko was only 22 for the match with Joshua. He really looked good in the first two matches beating new Pro Simon Kean before facing Joshua.

Dychko was up on points over 2 rounds vs Majidov in the finals of the world amateur championships. Then Majidov, possibly the best puncher in the amateurs landed a bomb. He was the lone man to stop Dychko.
No shame there. Majidov has won won three world amateur championships, which is pretty amazing!

Dychko won two world amateur silvers, and two Olympic bronzes. Essentially he ranged from 2nd best to 3rd/4th best in four majors from 2012-2016. The talent was good during these years at super heavyweight.

Age doesn't dictate anything..those guys arent even at peak yet and particularly Parker who has 3 more years to developed BC he's lacking.

I would put money on Joyce in 2 more fights to defeat Parker and maybe Wilder.

    Oh boy.

If Deontay signed to fight Joe Joyce in two fights ... this board would have a collective aneurysm.

And I can guarantee you NO ONE would be picking Joyce to win.

Joyce is 32 years old man...Father Time always win my G...how can you be a prospect at age 32? Wilder & Parker have Hughie and Bermane on their resume and both those fighters (who suck btw) are better than anyone on Joyce resume.

    I think Dubois beats Joyce.

Old man according to who? Joyce had 2 fights one was to a guy Whyte who IS a top guy fought recently ...

You don't know what your talking about. Parker STILL looks like the amateur by far, Joyce is a 6'6 240 plus HW with very good technique with great stamina who is a legit puncher...... You guys with age this and thatare showing your lack of actual what's real and not...look at your boxing history???????

Wilder would have a very dangerous fight on his hands to suggest anyone outside Ortiz is more legit than Joyce is false.

Dubois beats Joyce according to his last fight??? Huh

I guarantee you some posters from the UK would pick Joyce. The things is, one could actually argue that Joyce would be his BEST opponent to date.

I'd pick Wilder as long as he's undefeated.

Personally right now I rate them

    1:joyce
    2:hrgovic
    3:dychko
    4:yoka

right now I think joyce Is the best if they were to fight each other tomorrow... but believe hrgovic has the most potential.. yoka will be a bust once steps up... and dychko may be a decent fighter his size is rare.. seems quick for a big guy... in my opinion hes the dark horse I wouldn't be surprised if he somehow ended up with the best career of the 4..

Lucas Browne was a prospect at 32 and he had no amateur career before that either. Unlike Joyce who has.

Monet didnt start seriously painting till the death of his wife in his 40's. Joyce has plenty of time to hone his craft.
