Wait until gene doping takes a grip of boxing....

 

Some people claim the klitschko's were the result of a soviet era laboratory experiment

I made a thread about it once as I wanted a serious discussion about it and I got a ban for it

 

Non-boxing, but I think Usain Bolt is the most high profile gene-doped athlete. I have no evidence for this but when has that ever stopped anyone on the internet?

Seriously though I read an article about gene doping which quoted a gene therapist who said he'd been approached by athletes and this was back in 2014 when he was quoted. The genetic modification would enable the natural production of EPO.

As for Wlad and Vitali, if you check boxrec Wlad has put on just under 30llbs in 20 years (lightest weight for a fight compared to heaviest), that's not an off-the-scale increase in muscle mass. Joshua - 20llbs in just over two years... that's a little more fishy but not impossible.

But the point is, look at any major athletic sport - track & field, cycling, baseball, American football etc - and all have been touched by PED users, and normally it's the record breakers who are the offenders, which isn't a surprise. So look at boxing's record breakers - the biggest punchers, the longest reigning champs - and that puts some obvious names in the firing line. They'll be some who are natural but we all know this sport is juiced...
