The cuban in ireland, heard a lot of different stories on it Paddy on the irish thread is a pretty reliable source imo, if you look back at other threads on it his words would be the ones too look for.
i think anyone could give froch a run for his money in sparring. it's in a pro fight where his chin, power, strength, stamina etc take it's toll and show his class. i think anyone with speed could make him look bad unless it was a hard spar.
From what I remember Froch seemed pretty impressed with him, he did say though that he'd like to see if Garcia could bring the same strength to a fight down at Super-Middleweight because he was above Light-Heavyweight when he sparred Froch.
achilles is probably on the mark. Wouldn't surprise me if Froch gets handled in sparring regularly, his best attributes are not the ones that show up outside of a fight intensity with 16oz gloves and headguard.
Them 10oz marigolds make a hell of a difference in a contest with no headguard...:yep Sparring is just another element of training where aspects of a fight plan can be tested, amended or removed. It ain't about getting handled in sparring what matters, it's what you bring to the ring when you bring it all together from a well prepared training camp where you have dotted the i's and crossed the t's...:good My only concern has been that Froch likes to get into a slugfest and this will catch up with him at some point... Froch was so fortunate in the Taylor fight to pull it out of the bag when he did...:bbb I am going to the Kessler fight, for me at the moment this is a 50/50 fight although I think they both have the ability to KO each other at anytime... I think whoever gets the big guns off first wins this contest...:bbb
I've got two rounds of it, on a compilation DVD with the 2nd Tunney-Greb fight. I can copy it for you if you want Cott....sorry, Frazier Hook :good
im not so worried about the froch/kessler fight from what ward did to mikkel i think froch knows he's there for the taking, after both men being put on the canvass froch will eventually stop kessler late. its the abraham fight im worried about, how does froch approach it? theres no way his beard can withstand those power shots from arthur, the man is a beast! i see froch getting stopped in this fight and it could be painful to watch.
