Look, it's illegal to brandish a gun with the intent to murder, ok? How simple is that? If he'd gotten caught by the cops with firearms on him in that state, he'd have been sent to jail.

This guy is not "all there" you know what I mean? Men who want to kill other people over jealousy are the lowest of the low.

Teddy is a dumbass and always has been. His only claim to fame is that he trained a very green amateur Tyson. He was subsequently fired and has spent the rest of his life cashing in on his limited time with an amateur Tyson, while consistently trying to tear Tyson down, he should be giving Tyson a percentage of his earnings.

  3. I liked LaLonde. I actually didn't know Atlas trained him for a spell, this was very interesting.

  4. Eh... Since then he's actually accomplished a bit. Michael Moorer was no world beater, but he ended up beating the world under Teddy, so... You can't say training a young Tyson is Teddy's only claim to fame. Just not a fair statement.

It's my understand that he had high hopes as an amateur and was doing well when sidelined by back injuries or something. Then again, maybe Teddy just remembers being a good amateur boxer and he was really on the varsity basketball team or something instead.:conf

Are you cracked? Moorer was a much better fighter BEFORE Atlas. Atlas ruined Moorer and did total mind **** on him. Teddy gets a lot of credit for the first Holy fight but he damn near blew that fight for the mentally fragile Moorer with his sickening display in the corner and frankly I think Holy deserved that fight. Moorer was much tougher mentally and physically before Atlas got ahold of him and if you read all of the **** that Atlas did while working with Moorer that totally threw Moorer off his game such as getting in fights with fighters at media events and press conferences and the constant mind games he played you would understand that Teddy is a liability. Have you ever wondered why the guy is hated by almost every fighter he has ever trained and has gotten into actual physical altercations with several? Sound like a guy with all his marbles?

And more to the point, lets be fair, would Teddy have gotten the job with Moorer had he just been the trainer of Donny LaLonde or Chris Reid? Would he have even gotten those jobs without being able to say he had worked with Tyson? Moorer was a finished product long before Atlas got ahold of him. In fact you can take a look at all the fighters Atlas worked with (Im not aware of one that he legitimately developed from nothing into a world class fighter) and you can see a marked decline both mentally and physically after Atlas' involvement.

Oh, for all those irritated with Atlas' high handed holier than though rants lets not forget that while he was spewing all of his bull**** against corruption on ESPN he was training Elvir Muriqui who was owned and managed by organized crime figures and it wasnt exactly a secret either. Atlas certainly didnt have any qualms about taking mob money then.

    Teddy Atlas ruined Michael Moorer.

Teddy has an obvious personality disorder. He would benefit from psychotherapy.

Teddy keeps it real, and he doesn't pretend to be anything he's not. He was a fighter, but he got injured very early in his career, which is how he ended up working for Cus instead of fighting under him. You have to keep in mind that LaLonde's take on things is most likely just as biased as Teddy's is about LaLonde. And we KNOW that Teddy tries to do the right things in life with his charity work etc, you can't take that away from him regardless of what you might think about him.

I'll always give Teddy the benefit of the doubt because of his interview on FNF with Tony Ayala after an Ayala fight... Teddy basically said that Ayala was a murderous scumbag who shouldn't be in boxing. Ayala kind of threateningly asks if Teddy is going to 'take back' what he said about him. Atlas: "No." Flat dead stare right in his eyes. You could see Ayala wilt.

Whatever, hes a ****ing hypocrite. "He tried to do right" Hes a high school dropout, Hes been arrested for armed robbery, pulled a gun on a 15 yr old, admitted to trying to murder another guy (even though thats been proven to be a lie, attacked/sucker punched several of his fighters, etc etc, working with mob connected fighters, yeah Teddy is a peach of a guy.

"He was a boxer but got injured early in his career" two points: Teddy never had a boxing career. A career is something you make income off of. Teddy was supposedly injured early in his AMATEUR career which consisted of a handful of fights. But, you know what they say, those who cant do- teach! and those who cant teach- teach gym. That basically sums up Atlas.

Shawn O'Sullivan won silver at the Olympics, not gold. He did win the gold at the World Championships, though.

hmm..interesting..but it makes me wonder about Atlas because isn't he pretty much confessing to crimiinal activities?

or is is legal to go about seeking someone with a loaded gun in your hands with the intention of killing someone? And if someone replies that intent has to be proven, well then my answer was the intention was proven by Atlas's own words..
