Is he must have had some slap considering he finished his career with a 70% ko ratio.
Unless u might all be wrong or something ??

are we counting him slapping pete manfredos shoulders so the ref could stop it prematurely before manfredo was gonna knock him out?

He has a higher KO % than Mayweather. He must be doing something right

Mangredo ko'ing Calzaghe, WTF. No ones ko'ing Calzaghe. Ya that stoppage sucked but we all know how that fight was ending, only possibility was a Joe win.

We're talking about Calzaghe right? The guy who hid in the UK waiting on Hopkins and RJJ to get old and past their prime, the guy who beat up a washed up Eubank and then said in the post-fight interview, "I don't feel sorry for the guy". A detestable, unlikeable, classless, overrated bum with no spine or humility. Even Eubank, Mayweather, Prince Naseem who were played villains gave their respects to their oponents afterwards. When he said that about Eubank I thought he either must be thick or a right insensitive ****. He was both. He never gained the popularity he could have got because he was utterely loathsome and about as interesting as a wet blanket.

His lack of KO's had something to do with many of his opponents having really good chins, not him lacking power.

Would you call the Pudwill, Mitchell, Veit or McIntyre stoppages to name a few, British stoppages?

Slappy Joe ko'd people through willpower instead of power. Have you ever tried doing something and before you could even process how you were going to go about it you got slapped? And it happened over and over and over? You just give up and submit.

All 70% were in the UK. Khan has a high KO rate there too. That proves that just windmilling your arms makes British refs stop fights.

Tocker was an ATG and Veit was so great Joe faced him twice, even when he refused to give Bernard a rematch. :yep

I think that the hatred of Joe Calzaghe has a lot to do with him beating Hopkins and Jones and retiring undefeated.

Seems that some people can never forgive him for doing that.

You didn't answer my question did you? Were they British Stoppages? All the idiots like to bring up the Manfredo match like all of his KO's were identical. Most fighters have had a shoddy KO here and there. Manfredo would have eventually been stopped anyway.

    you most probably already know
tocker was a last minute replacment for tate who pulled out injured
and veit 2 was a mandatory that war ren did not want hence the fight took place in germany.

saying this tocker pudwell was awful as were ashira /mcintyre/ manfredo/ jimenez/ etc etc

calzaghe had no need to be protected but war ren milked his cashcow in many fights.
