You missed out the fact that the 2023 UK based schedule for DAZN UK has been horrendous and the fact that Anthony 'Ali' Joshua, more closer to Matt Skelton in his prime, fighting twice against two very limited opponents as part of the subscription does not cover up the garbage schedule.

I saw Matt Skelton last week, nice guy and always says hello as we used to train at the same gym together.

If the next Joshua fight is not PPV on DAZN that has been one of the worst signings ever in boxing as I’m pretty sure they gave him equity as well as pots of money for fighting bang average heavies with not much return. Subscribers want good content, they aren’t going to go through the rigmarole of signing up for a shot AJ boxing no one.

 

Big Matt Skelton a hard night in his prime for nearly all fighters and would have been around World Level in the poor era we are in today. Would have had a very good chance of becoming a world champion if facing the likes of Charles Martin, Joe Parker and Andy Ruiz.

The glory days when all these top Brits got in the ring with each other, without hesitation, with many of the fights watched by large audiences on ITV.

If guys like Matt Skelton and Danny Williams had Eddie Hearn behind them, I think both would have matched or exceeded the career of Joshua.

 

Funny thing is the target audience for this won’t have heard of any of them and might not even watch.

I thought he boxed really well when he won the British title against Williams. He said to me that Chagaev was too much for him on the night they boxed.

You really aren’t a fan of Joshua are you? I would say he is a cut above both of those 2 you mentioned.

 

Joshua is the most overrated fighter I have seen and is really not much better than most of the crop around 2006.
