The Fury-Wilder 3 situation, why all the histrionics from fans ?

Why is everyone crying and whining and blaming ? Conspiracy theories, accusations, demands.
    What's this all about ?

I know it's disappointing that Fury-AJ isn't happening next, but really we're just exactly where we were 1 year ago. The arbitration ruled that Wilder's contract for rematch is still valid, because of the pandemic. That's it. We knew that might happen, but most of us hoped it would go the other way. This is business

So why is the AJ-Fury pantomime blame-game continuing ? Why are the fans here crying like spoiled children ?
Y'know, you'll just have to wait until Christmas to get that toy, and only if you're lucky and good.
Stop the crying. We're exactly where we thought we were 1 year ago. Fury has to fight Wilder, get rid of him for good. It's simple.

Fury never intended to fight AJ, he`s a sociapath, convenient how Fury announced he had agreed on the site and fee 24hrs before it emerged that Wilder had won the contract battle, and why was Arum saying AJ v Fury was "dead in the water" a month ago, they just messed AJ about using his name to get publicity for Fury, piece of work.

Thats funny because I remember a lot of boxing journalist (Steve Kim, Mike Montero etc..) said that since there wasn’t much interest in the trilogy that Arum would try to use the AJ as a promotional tool. They also said a year ago that it was already agreed by both parties that the trilogy wasn’t gonna happen during the pandemic because the live gate was almost $18 million in the rematch. There was no way the fight was happening without a live audience. And now here we are.

Bob Arum had also kind of been hinting at this for months and he’s a lawyer so he’s familiar with arbitrations. It really feels like he’s been knowing this for a while and took Eddie for a ride to get an estimate on what the undisputed fight is worth. Sort of how Wilder took that DAZN meeting to go back to Showtime and FOX and demand more money.

Some of the conspiracy theories are bizarre. For example, exhibit A :

"Fury lied" ....... well, he certainly doesn't always tell the truth, but WHY would he need to lie about fighting AJ if he was contractually obliged to fight Wilder .... and if he knew he couldn't get out of fighting Wilder again, why spend time and money going to arbitration ?
It makes no sense. He didn't need to "pretend" anything.
Unless you're claiming the contract battle was a sham, and Fury was in cahoots with the judge ?
I mean, wtf kind of conspiracy is that ?

"they just messed AJ about using his name to get publicity for Fury" ...... what kind of crap is that ? What kind of publicity is it ? It's not good publicity.
Fury doesn't need AJ to get him publicity. The only thing that will sell Fury-Wilder 3 is the animosity between Fury and Wilder, and Wilder's bizarre accusations, not months of Eddie Hearn and Joshua and Fury and Saudi Arabia.

The conspiracies are bizarre but Mark Ant's post aren't really worth reading imo.

No conspiracies or tinfoil hats here, I simply have no interest in seeing Wilder get humiliated by Fury again.

Maybe if it was Wilder vs Joshua and Fury vs Usyk it would be different, but it's not.

    Simply put, it's stagnant

Edit, then again, I was always of the view that I'd believe Joshua vs Fury was happening when they stepped in the ring and not a minute before, so i'm probably not one of the target audience - it is what it is.

Yep... Wilders view of Fury is like the EU's idea of democracy - just keep rerunning until you get the answer you want, regardless of whether it's already been made crystal clear or not.

I'm just not that interested in seeing it again - Fury clowned him whilst far from fit, then dominated him using a style that isn't his primary game... This isn't anywhere near an equal contest, Wilders only chance is a hail Mary and it simply wouldn't be justice if he landed it - it'll either be largely uninteresting or a sporting anomaly, neither of which excite me.

For me, I just feel like we've seen everything there is to see.

We had a 12 rounder, a draw, with boxing ability on show.

Then, we got a beating and Wilder was exposed.

What more can we really learn?

Fury has proven he is better, and as such there really is nothing for him to gain.

Maybe we will learn that Wilder is actually a lot better if he don't wear no fool costume on the ring walk?

So, the costume cost him the fight?

The costume he probably tried on multiple times before the fight?

Also, doesn't Wilder (like most fighters) train wearing weights on his wrists, ankles, back etc...?

You'd think that might have prepared for him a 30 second ring walk.

Maybe, but as I don't really know you too well I wasn't sure which way to take it.

But, I agree with you that is was a laughable excuse he came out with.
