Nah. Tyson Fury is much better than Hughie Fury.

 

Hughie definitely has failed to live up to the level his cousin set with the Wlad victory. Tonight showed how important fundamentals can be.

Hughie would also benefit from a real strength and conditioning coach he's physically very poor for an athlete at this level that became very apparent when an old, inactive Pulev looked faster and more dynamic than the much younger Hughie.

 

Those wide looping punches from Hughie were Ali like

 

His punch mechanics are horrible, he only throws the jab and straight right reasonably well. His hooks and overhand rights are awful, he doesn't bend his elbow enough so these shots are cuffing shots that don't land with the knuckle part of the glove and are easy to block as the trajectory of the shot doesn't go round a guard like it should.

 

if youre confining them to groups sharing a bloodline and level of hype, then yeah, no contest.

Hughie does not have Tyson's height, and frame to be as successful. And trying to outbox Pulev from the outside, which even Wlad didn't try to do, was a bad gameplan.

Tyson is levels ..levels above Hughie.. Has a much higher ring IQ , better defense , better footwork and coordination and a much better ability to adapt.

True, he's a better counter puncher, he's physically much stronger no way Pulev manhandles Tyson like that even the current one, he has much better punch variety and hands in general.
