Who would you like to see Pavlik fight next?

    J. Taylor: The most likely scenario, but not a rematch I really want to see. Yes, JT dropped him in the 2nd, but after that Pavlik imposed himself and really proved himself to be the stronger, better fighter. I personally think a rematch would yield the same result.

John Duddy: A name that's been mentioned by Arum. Promoter's dream to get two white guys in there for a middleweight, but the reality is that Duddy isn't ready yet.

Calzaghe or Kessler: Great matchup, but if I'd like to see Pavlik stay at 160 and defend a time or two, then move up to 168. Not sure how exactly how trouble he has holding weight at middle, and either one of these guys would make a battle.

Bernard Hopkins: This one was mentioned on the main page as maybe being the best scenario for Pavlik's legacy, but at 42, while still crafty, I think some of the luster has gone off of Hopkins, even with the win over Winky. Not likely this fight gets made.

Winky Wright: Ditto Hopkins comments. With Winky at 160, I think Pavlik's punch output and strength gives big problems to Winky.

Arthur Abraham: This is the unification fight I'd like to see first. AA is strong, durable, solid boxer/puncher who is tough as nails. Excellent unification match here between two undefeated champs.

Well, if his plan is to move up to 168 right away, then I'd like to see him fight the winner of Calzaghe/Kessler.
But, he shouldn't take that fight if he still feels capable of fighting at 160. Then he should fight Wright or Abraham. I don't think fighting Duddy proves much, although after two fights in a row against tough middleweights, I suppose Pavlik deserves to fight an easier opponent.

Give him a showcase vs. Duddy on free TV - boxing need a bigger exposure in the states and this fight would bring it in first place...

Free tv as in the major networks? I'd love to see it happen, but it won't. American networks don't touch boxing anymore.

Pavlik is too good to go back to ESPN, so it's either HBO or HBO PPV from this point on.

Bad idea for Duddy to fight Pavlik - he is not near ready
In fact Duddy is taylormade for Pavlik, no defense whatsoever means 4th rnd KO

Arthur Abraham has been the number 1 contender for the past year. He deserves his shot.

It depends on what type of fight he wants next.

If he wants an easier touch first defense, I'm fine with Duddy or Mora. Both would be good action fights and would have good crowds and atmosphere.

For a hard competitive fight, I'd like to see him fight Abraham at 160. A fight against the Calzaghe-Kessler winner would be good, but, that fight could probably use some building up.

Good question. I would think he would root for Pavlik since Pavlik won without any type of controversy. I voted Abraham too, in the U.S.

I think he should fight Abraham although a bout with Duddy at the garden on Paddy's day would make him some good money with little risk.

I'd like to see Kelly fight AA next because it would be a decent fight that would end like all Pav's fights do, and it would bring one more title to the table for the next match-up.

Spot on Jsimps! Kelly wants Abraham or Sturm If the Taylor rematch doesn't happen right away. He has no immediate plans for SMW. As a matter of fact Kelly made weight for this fight better than recent fights. But let's not forget the $ factor, if Bob Arum tells him it's Duddy for a multi-million dollar payday Kelly would take that fight in the Garden in a minute! Off topic what a wonderfull weekend for the people of Youngstown. You guys made that fight soooooo much more special for Kelly-my hats off to all of you!!!
