i like ward.... but he aint doing too much.... nobody beside real boxing fans heard of him.... if you mention Andre or Berto... everybody going to say that they heard of berto... but ward has good future in front of him... if he can get a better management and promotion

i had big hopes for ward after the oplymics 04

It isn't even four years since he won gold.

He hasn't lose-- DON'T COUNT HIM OUT!

    WTF????

Berto has a title. Ward is a top contender. Let's wait and see what happens before commenting.

If he stays away from Kessler he could be a force. Bute would beat him also. Taylor and Ward would be interesting.

No. Did you see his last underwhelming performance?

    +1.

Ward is a promising prospect but I think this is the rare instance of someone being brought along too slowly.

i like dirrel more then ward,
haven't seen jacobs. did he had telivised fights? if so which, i like to see him.

carl froch can make some noise too. but he is already 31.

Bute, Kesller and taylor are not that old either.

And you also still have andrade, bika, green, Inkin, Zuniga. who are decent contenders between 28-31 years old.

Pavlik and Abraham likely to move up in 1 or 2 years.
It's gonna be a great division the next 5 years. that's for sure.

btw. can anybody give me an insight on francisco sierra? he's only 20. had ko wins over porras and camou already

To answer your question about Ward. I don't think he will ever be the top of the division.

He has all the tools and talent to make it to the top. Definitely has quick hands and excellent movement. Speed is in deep supply.

The thing that may hold him back are the intangibles but at this point he seems to have a good attitude and confidence.

I definitely like this kid Jacobs in what I've seen of him. And Dirrell also will make things competitive.

one of my fav journeyman fighters is a guy called darnell boone. smooth fast and always fought with a game plan. just started too late, has no stamina nor pop.

anyways there he is fighting ward. ward looking a fool trying to get by boones left and then whack down goes ward...****ing hilariuos. darnell coudl of got that fight won had he had the stamina.
