He was on the televised undercard for Pavlik-Hopkins. KO'd his guy in like 1:30.

Has power in both hands, did amazingly well as an amateur despite not being on the olympic team.

Ward could well be a future star but Jacobs is gonna be huge.

yes i saw it. i actually saw that fight. but forgot the name.

he had a fight on telfurtura too, his second fight. and on the dlh-forbes undercard. don't think this fight was shown in the states. but it was in a few european countries.

    he looks very good indeed.

yes and he will. undisputed super middle champ. And to actually think most on here thought pavlik would beat him down. Unbelievable.

I like Ward, I know everybody says he is being moved slowly despite winning Olympic gold in 2004, but I think next year will be a breakout year for him. Remember he is only going to be 24-25 next year.

Ward has been injured this year. He may not become an elite PfP fighter, but people are writing him off too quickly. I think he'll be a player at 168 for years.

its never too early to tell realizm. Some guys you can just look at early in their career, and know they are great. ward was one of them.

I think you're getting a bit carried away quoting people. Nothing wrong with this one...

hey leave me be man, its always fun to bring up blasts from the past. lets you know the posters who can outright call it out beforehand rather than sit on the sidelines till its a known fact. The thing with lamps is he said he didnt think he was an elite p4p fighter, whereras I did. You only had to see him in the olympics to know this.

He said he 'may not become an elite p4p fighter'. Which was true and is still true now. On the other hand he may. He hasn't accomplished that yet.

so let me get this straight, calzaghe beats kessler hes elite p4p. ward does it and now he aint jack still? well time will come for him I guess. And yeah calzaghe's resume SUCKED! He was a great fighter, just liked his '0' too too much. I cant get behind a guy like that.
