What you are talking about is the anaerobic fitness to last 12 rounds. I believe he does this in training no problem. What you can't take into account is: Nervous energy, heat under the lights in a big fight, dehydration. I think the fact Groves dehydrates himself to make weight affects his stamina. What Groves needs to do is take the weight off naturally. Look at their physiques - Froch has a smaller frame than Groves, he can only take the weight off to a point, then he has to start taking water out of his system. Froch said on behind the ropes he carb loads for 3 days before weigh in - and still makes weight!! Groves will be eating very little carbs for a week before the fight! Bottom line is Froch fights pretty close to his natural weight (what he walks around at mostly) so has energy for 12 rounds. Groves doesn't! If Froch survives first 5 rounds he wins! Groves only has 5 rounds to win the fight!
His stamina is def a big worry. We don't have much to judge him on in that regard other than him tiring in his last fight. if he gets more experience at the top level he can become more accustomed to it, I reckon. It's def a weakness so far though
You might be right but i dont think groves is big enough for lhw so he is kind of stuck of where to go. Should be a great fight again and i hope lots of needle in the built up
With the same gas tank. Haye BS started when he moved up for fame and glory, the same will happened to DG.
If Groves were to beat Froch, his future will be a great one..................I give him a good chance, but not be surprised if Froch wins either.........
