Can't blame him for having confidence and thinking he's better than Martinez, but they need to slow it down, Sergio would tear him apart right now.

If you don't know French, it's no big deal, fairly standard article. He speaks a bunch of languages, he punches hard, he wants a house and a family of at least four kids, he has a good relationship with Russ Anber and he plans to beat Rubio and then Martinez.

He is moving up to fast, he is a good knock out artist though, him vs martinez in 2012 could be great.

I think you are right. We'll never see Martinez-Lemieux, like Calzaghe had nothing to do with Bute when he became champion. Martinez has only a couple of fights in front of him to make cash, I would not face Lemieux if I was him.

David is a good prsopect-but that is all at present.He is really over reaching but it's good to have this type of confidence.

 

The Scene was mentioning Chavez-Zbik as a possible fight for "the regular title" should Martinez be named Champion Emeritus (which again, is the kind of BS that discredits the sport). Whoever wins would have to defend their belt within (8? 12?) months against the winner of the Rubio-Lemieux eliminator. If that eliminator doesn't happen for whatever reason, I see Lemieux being elected as the official #1 contender given his WBC International paper belt.

Lemieux will probably fight Chavez/Zbik for the WBC belt while the Champ Emeritus takes money fights here and there. I would be very surprised to see Martinez going after the WBC 'regular title' again if he gets stripped because of the Dzin fight. GYM might make him an offer if David wins the belt, but I doubt he'll listen.

 

He meant, couple years ago, pre Andrade, no one knew Bute apart from Romania and Canada.

So fighting Bute would like be a high risk, low reward as much as Lemieux is and will probably for the next year.

Calzague and Martinez scares nothing we all know that, but they are smart business men, I am sur of that.
