Floyd hits 34 years of age year next year, with plans of him fighting next year vs Pacman and say he wins.

What next? does he retire from boxing?

Young guns like Khan and Alexander(who are improving all the time) have the speed, workrate and boxing skills to give Floyd a real fight by the end of next year.

If I was Floyd after beating/losing(rematch Pacman), he should retire no need to over stay your welcome, because the young tigers are maturing and they are hungry.

Floyd proved against Shane that he doesn't rely too much on his physical attributes. If he wanted to, I think Floyd could carry on boxing until he was 36/37, relying on his superior boxing skills to easily beat even the Khans and the Alexanders. Remember, Floyd never outfights his opponents. He outsmarts them. Within the next 5-10 years, there won't be a boxer out there that will be as intelligent as him in the ring.

Also, for a 34 year old, Floyd will still be young in terms of what he's been through in the ring. You can literally count on one hand the amount of times he's been hurt in his career. And the only demanding fight he's been in, was that Castillo bout all them years ago. For his age, is body is in great condition compared to most others.

But I suppose the only thing which is against him, is his hands.

Is it just me or is most apple sauce...I don't know...too saucy? Like, too much of a soupy consistency? Making apple sauce is really a lost art is what I'm saying, don't you think?

Khan sucks. He wouldn't even fight Maidana, and now all of a sudden he's a threat to Floyd? hahaha

Floyd is smart enough to know when to go I doubt he'll overstay his welcome in boxing.

I beg to differ real handspeed and movement at this stage would pose Floyd problems his movement around the ring/legs in his last 2 fights is not the same, all due respect JMM and Shane did not offer much (apart from Shane 2nd rd). High workrate/Speed is key to give Floyd no time to think, young guns will be on him like glue.

I feel Khan's height, Speed, Movement, Defence, Great Jab, high workrate, would give Floyd new problems.

I agree with you on the above. But the following:

That right there will be Khan's downfall. As much as Khan is improving, I honesly don't think his defence will reach a level where it will be enough against a world class (that's a massive understatement) offence like Floyd's. His counter rights and left hooks are almost guarenteed to find the target regularly. And remember, it doesn't take much to topple Khan over.

But again, I do understand your point. If Floyd does stay in the sport for too long (which I highly doubt) where his powers have diminished to a point where lesser opponents able to catch up with him, then yes a guy like Khan will have a very good chance.

Fair point about his defence, I think it has come on alot since hooking up with Roach, but his real test of his defence will vs a puncher because then not only your defence gets tested also your mind set (taking risks) and also boxing skills (when to hit, when to cover up/move)

i've always thought myself that personally if a fighter like pacman cant beat floyd then the only other fighter i give a chance of beating him in around 2/3 years is khan.

not because khan is a brilliant fighter but he has alot of intagibles and tangibles, he has great speed better then average power, great heart stamina height, im not sure about his reach but i doubt it is small. his biggest downfall is his chin but over these two years he will improve another 25% with roach.

i think him and floyd will actually fight because khan wil bring in that money in uk and in usa.

alot of people in uk also want to see khan get knocked out again so this will be buyable

At the moment, that's what worries me about him. What will be going through his mind when he knows the guy in the opposite corner, can and will put him to sleep with just one punch? Memories of Prescott may come rushing back the moment he feels a stiff jab.

His handlers have done the wise thing in not putting him in with Maidana so early. This fight with JMM, will test his guard and provide the answers we're looking for. How far Khan goes in his career, will depend alot on his defence.
