Of course. This is the site for real fans, so I would not expect any other answer.

I think their personalities are often better - they just don't receive the media attention. Wlad is the nicest guy you'd ever meet.

To me it makes no difference where a fighter is from. I find Wlad a more exciting fighter than Byrd, and Povetkin more entertaining than Ruiz.

Fighters of other nationalities have their entire countries behind them.
Is it like that for Americans in the United States? Nope.
This is actually a good topic and you could write paper after paper on this...I think it has 2 things to do with it, 1) Boxing isn't covered well by american sport media. 2) I think the fan bases are just spread thin, If you got a fighters like Roy Jones or Floyd, You'd think they'd be able to sell out stadiums or bring over 20,000 americans over seas. But they don't and never could.
While americans do dominate sports, I just think the general American support for global sports is very very very weak.

Thats the problem, he does seem to be a nice guy, but that doesnt sell tickets or get peoples attention, especially in the states. The average fan wants to see knockouts and fighters talking **** on other fighters, guys like me and you could care less, we watch boxing for the fights, not the hype. While there is a lack a talent in the Heavyweight division, but the real problem is theres no fighter in the top ranks that know how to hype a fight, which leads to less people watching your fight overall.
