Fair enough, but as a non-Cuban myself I'd like to see it. I'd rather see that then watch them pad the records with bull**** fights against bums. I do believe the winner would be a serious challenger to The Klitschkos. If they just fight bums they're not doing themselves any favors.

 

Yep, I have been saying that for years. But it will happen only when Cuba totally frees itself from Communism. It will happen when the complete Cuban invasion finally hits the shores. Right now believe it or not, we only have around maybe 5% of the Cuban boxers here. Imagine that, if we can still cause an impact with such a small group, then imagine what it would be like with the total package!

I dream of an all Cuban Title Fight ... but not yet , we don't have that many boxers in the pros at the moment and an all Cuban bout now would be counterproductive for either fighter , all Cuban bouts are usually really good fights , full of action and great shows for the fans ( at least that's the way they were in the ams ) so having one now without something in between is crazy . It's better for them to keep fighting foreign oposition and keep progresing that way ( IMO ) . Perez needs to leave Ireland . Peace .

Kid Cubano. The only cuban cruiser that not was a light-heavy back in cuba is Yuniesky Gonzalez. He was heavy back in Cuba. The others (Dorticos an Rodrigues) were lightheavies.

All cuban fights ? Rigondeaux- Gamboa might be what Juanma-Gamboa never was.
Rigo/Gamboa/Socarras/Franco/Salinas many opportunities if they keep on winning.

Yoandris Salinas. He is my new favorite of all the Cubans. I know I change my mind like every month, well this month it's him! I love how busy he's been. He's fought 5 times in the last 4 Months plus he has a fight scheduled for July 31rst and August 12th. The man loves to train probably more than all the other Cubans combined. He basically lives at the gym, and he aint there hanging out, he's there training alllll day! I know he's been in pretty soft with the exception of Danny Aquino but he doesn't care who he fights, where he fights, or how many rounds it is. Henry Rivalta is in charge of all that. All Salinas does is say "Yes" to whatever he's offered.

Saw Salinas and Socarras video sparring three rounds. More interesting than their fights in my opinion. Still out on Youtube.

 

It aint no secret Salinas looked bad his first 3 fights. I even asked him what happened in that 10 Month lay off. He told me it was horrible. He knew he looked bad his first 3 fights. Remember he had the same handlers as Gamboa, Lara, Barrera, if someone has those guys why give someone like Salinas attention? He told me it was real depressing. He was basically abandoned. At 3-0 he had no manager, no promoter, no money, couldn't get a fight, couldn't get any attention from his coach. After a while he got desperate so he begged Henry Rivalta for a fight. Remember Henry was running things at the Seminole Hard Rock at the time. Henry told him, "You want a fight? I got a show in 11 Days. We need an opponent for Danny Aquino." Salinas hadn't even been training and had no backing at the time but took the fight on 11 Days notice and Won. Ever since now he's basically the front man for the Dream Team.
