Good post , I also think that the first thing a Cuban boxer has to do when he arrives in the States is hire an English teacher , this is of paramount importance and few of them do it , after all ¿ how can you expect to sell yourself if the people don't understand you ? . They should be speaking English by now after 4 years in America , not perfect but at least broken English . Gamboa ( the only Cuban boxer who due to his fame doesn't really need it ) has one , and is trying to speak the language . IMO if you're talented people will come to see you anyways , the problem resides with the promoters who don't want to risk their fighters against the Cubans , that's why when a Cuban gets a chance to fight for a title he should prepare himself like never before and win it , once you're a World Champ people will come to see you , believe me . Peace .
