But a least Solis is a family type of guy, he's problem is his weight, that can b corrected with a nutritionist and hard work, but the fast lane will eat you a live.

I don't know about few, because the more prominents like Gamboa, Rigondeaux, Lara, Salinas, Franco etc.. are gym rats, but Dorticos is for sure drinking and pissing his talents away, just go to Dorticos wall and you will c what I'm talking about.

 

I don't think so, maybe when he arrived, but I have never heard any rumors about him clubing, remember he has a family here, wife and kids I think, his wife is German if I recall correctly.

And he lives ( resides ) in Germany , know what I mean ? . Away from all that . ¿ Dorticos ? , omfg , didn't know that , I expected him to be the next Gamboa due to his young age and skills . Man oh man these kids once they are outside Cuba ( all that discipline ) they literally must feel like leaving Jail so they start to misbehave . The only way ( imo ) to curb this is by family intervention ( wich they don't have ) or by seriously explaining to them ( trough examples from the past , tapes , etc ) the consequences of a wasted boxing career , I don't think that ANY of the current boxing promotion companys who have signed cubans have done that . Many of this kids need a psycologist believe it or not , somebody who can explain in a calming and scientifical way what's going on inside their heads , many of them have made the transition to the pros but not the " transition " in life , many of them are still behaving like when they were in Cuba ( drinking weekends , away from the watching eye of their trainers ) with the diference that here nobody can keep an eye on them ( freedom sometimes is counterproductive too ) or guide them trough life , we also need more Cuban coaches , therapists , condition trainers , etc . In other words we need a PROPER Cuban boxing promoting company , but Im afraid that only in CUBA , once it's free , all this can be attained , as I write this I watch CNN giving the news that Libya has been liberated , one of Castro's oldest ally , the dictator and terrorist Khadaffi has been deposed ( wich feels me with happines ) , so anything is possible ..... Back to boxing , all these Cubans need to shape up to circumstances , they aren't in Cuba no more , they need DISCIPLINE and remember that they aren't amateurs no more . Peace.

 

These guys know they have to train hard to get big money fights. Many rumours about Casamayor drinking ten years ago, but he did his work.
I trust the cuban fighters. Now they are so many on the way up very unlike Casamayor who almost was the only cuban.Think the guys training together and difficult to show up in the gym after a party.

 

IMO, Dorticos should b a LHW or SMW not a CW, but I think he is not putting all the work and combined with his antics, we a have a bloat up CW.
