Acosta will fight Khvicha Papiashvili (3-2-1) (who lost inside 4 rounds to exciting prospect Michael Walsh)

there was talk of Perez knocking out some bums between november and december in the states I think thats on the back burner now.

the original plan was to bring them over by the end of this year with atleast 10-0 records but Big Mikes injury put paid to that.

    id say early next year

alexei already has three fights lined up

hes getting some good sparring up in belfast

Luis Garcia is still out in the cold but Id say he will break soon

Good, very good! Seminole have very high hopes on Franco, can he be the best of the lesser accomplished amateur Cubans?

ever since the transfer of power, Sports in Cuba have been on the decline, on the 08 Olympics they were completely owned by the other countries, even in boxing .

    Cuba is done.

the truth is that if those guys were able to turn pro they would've never been so dominant in the olympics cuz a lot of those guys are in their late 20's

Very funny. But u fail, the medal situation has a quite simple explanation: Gold Medallist Yuriorkis Gamboa, Gold Medallist Odlanier Solis and Gold Medallist Yan Barthelemy left the Island and Team Captain Erislandy Lara and 2-time Gold Medallist Guillermo Rigondeaux got caught and banned for trying to leave - that's 5 Olympic Gold favorites out of the Team right before the Games.

You can't produce 5 new ones just like that.

That's a valid point. I think they won eight medals in the 2008 games. That they did that well is a testament to the depth of boxing talent on that team. I wish the US team had done that well, or even half of that.
