Why would you think Hyde said that Bakhtin is next for Rigo? Maybe you should contact Hyde yourself before always jumping the gun and insulting his intelligence. If it were not for Hyde Rigo, Perez, Garcia, Acosta, Lara,Dorticos, Ortiz Ugas, I could keep going all night with Cuban fighters who have all used Hyde's mode of transport to leave Cuba, would all be boxing in the Cuban am system and this particular forum would be very quite. :bbb:bbb:bbb

 

¿ Are you Hyde's brother or something ? , go to the scene and you will see the article ( can't post link ) , Hyde is a CRAP promoter and I always said that those Irish cubans won't amount to anything as long as they stay with him . The truth is that Rigo's career has been badly promoted and badly managed . He's just making a living off the hype Cuban boxers have . I still remember how he signed Rigo for $100 over a beer at Cafe Cantante in Havana ..... That says it all .

That's not how boxing works anymore is all about fame, and making money, boxing is ran like a business. So if you can make the same amount of money or more fighting a nobody why would you fight rigo. Only way that fight happens if donaire is offered a ton of money.

I know that Einstein , my point is that it shouldn't be that way . There' s no need for that and this is exactly what will kill boxing ( as a bussines and as a sport ) in the long run .

 

He's Russian. He left Japan for Russia a few years ago. Don't know why really. He had to give up his regional title and had to fight 10 rounders because of it.

 

I don't get the Hyde hate. Hyde's only Cuban is Rigondeaux and he is Rigo's manager, not promoter. The other 'Irish Cubans' are with Brian Peters since quite a while I believe. During the contract law suit (because someone else tried to take over Rigo despite a valid contract with Hyde) Rigo was inactive, of course. Not Hyde's fault. Then he got Rigo a valuable contract with Top Rank, instead of being stuck with DeCubas, and now Rigo is a full belt holder at 9 fights! My complaint would be with Top Rank that they don't keep him busy enough but since Rigo is expensive for Top Rank it's not easy to get him fights that has enough money involved.

This is how I see it. Is there anything I'm missing?

 

Exactly, Rigo should be fighting at least 3-4 times a year from now on!
