    Barthelemy survives Usmanee

In an elimination bout for the IBF’s #2 position between unbeaten super featherweights, #6 rated Rances “Kid Blast” Barthelemy (18-0, 11 KOs) scored a controversial twelve round unanimous decision over over #14 Arash Usmanee (20-1, 10 KOs) on Friday night at Stage 305 in the Magic City Casino in Miami, Florida. Hometown favorite Barthelemy got off to a great start over the first few rounds, but Usmanee turned the tables and outpunched Barthelemy much of the rest of the way. Scores were 115-113, 116-112, 116-112 for the locally-based fighter who was very lucky to get the win.

In a four-round featherweight scrap betwee undefeated prospects, Hairon Socarras (6-0-1, 5 KOs) scored a spectacular third round KO over Josh Bowles (6-1, 1 KO). A right hand finished Bowles at 2:11.

    Yuniesky Gonzales did not fight

Did anyone watch the youth worlds and Cuban nationals? Some interesting results there.

Is there any video available for the Cuban nationals anywhere? Would love to see Robeisy Ramirez' win over Lazaro Alvarez and the 91 and +91 finals where Larduet and Savon both lost.
