Golden Boy Promotions reportedly won the purse bid to put on the Erislandy Lara – Vanes Martirorysan rematch. Golden Boy beat Top Rank in the bidding with a $410,000. Top Rank bid only $62,000. Lara and Martirosyan fought to a 9th round technical decision last November in a painfully boring fight. The bout ended in the 9th round when Martirosyan was cut badly over his left eye from a head-butt with Lara.

Good for him. That's a good 160+ that he definitely needs to lose.

Angelo Santana (24; lightweight; 14-0, 11 KOs): "La Cobra" was a two-time Cuban amateur national champion who defected in 2007 and now lives in Miami. The southpaw has a strong skill set and good power, especially in his left hand, as evidenced by his highlight-reel fifth-round knockout of Juan Garcia on Nov. 16 in his television debut. The only thing holding Santana (2-0 in 2012) back is promoter Don King, who doesn't keep him busy
ESPN had him number 14 in Prospect of the year

The Filipino press is reporting a very possible April showdown between 2012 Fighter of the Year Nonito Donaire and WBA champ Guillermo Rigondeaux. Top Rank boss Bob Arum is looking at an April 27 date

According to the scene a German source is telling than Solis is the next opponent for Wlad as a voluntary defense of the title. Fury is mad saying that Wlad is a ***** by not selecting him, I thin Fury need a fight or two more He is two young.

    From Dan Rafael's chat today:

    Quote:
Klitschko-Solis isn't happening because of Solis' promotional issues and the problems between King and Oner.

Was news that Solis will fight with Wladimir in April. How much is real? Solis had already decided their affairs with Oner?

It seems like he'll stay with Oner for the WK fight.
