Robert Garcia, the trainer for newly crowned WBO featherweight champion Mikey Garcia (31-0, 26 KO’s), told RingTV he’s hoping that Yuriorkis Gamboa (22-0, 16 KO’s) will agree to accept the challenge made by Mikey to either come down to featherweight and fight him or fight him at a catch in 2013. Robert Garcia believes Mikey can beat Gamboa.

Whether Gamboa accepts the offer made by Mikey is unknown at this point but it likely will be determined by what happens with Gamboa’s negotiations for a fight with WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley.

Livan has always been a huge boxing fan, but I agree, el no sabe ni cojones de como manejar un boxeador.

WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley (29-0, 12 KO’s) is reportedly bumping heads still with Yuriorkis Gamboa (22-0, 16 KO’s) over the weight for their March 16th fight. The two sides want different catchweight limits and thus far they’ve failed to agree on one that will work for the fight.

The 31-year-old Gamboa wants a catchweight of 143 pounds, which sounds like a good number given that he’s moving up three divisions to take the fight from the super featherweight division. Bradley, however, only wants a small catchweight of only two pounds at 145 lbs

Lets hope Gamboa use his brain and dont take the Bradley-fight.
I think Adrien Broner would be a good fight.
